Who we are
Career Risk Advisor is a website that shows occupation risk information for Australia (AI automation, immigration displacement, growth, entry difficulty). When we say “we” or “our,” we mean the operator of this site.
What we collect
We collect information you give us when you:
- Subscribe to our monthly newsletter (email address)
- Use “Is my job at risk?” and request a report (email, first name, last name, Australian postcode, and your consent to receive the report and optionally the newsletter)
We do not collect information from you when you only browse the site (no cookies or tracking for marketing; we may use basic technical logs on the server).
Why we use it
- To send you the monthly newsletter if you subscribed or consented
- To send you the one-off job risk report if you requested it and consented
- To improve and run the service (e.g. storing signups, syncing to our email provider)
Who we share it with
We use Brevo (an email and contact management service) to store contacts and send newsletters. When you sign up, your email and the details you provided (name, postcode, consent choices) are sent to our servers and may be synced to Brevo. Brevo’s own privacy policy applies to their processing. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Where we store it
Data is stored on our hosting infrastructure and, when Brevo is configured, on Brevo’s systems (which may be outside Australia). By giving us your information, you consent to that transfer and storage.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and related details until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe, or for as long as needed to provide the newsletter and reports and to comply with law. You can ask for deletion or correction at any time (see Contact below).
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in every newsletter email, or contact us. If you are in Australia, you may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). If you are in the EU/UK, you have additional rights under applicable law (e.g. data portability, restriction, objection).
